When the skin loses resilience and elasticity, contours quickly appear softer, cheeks flatter, and fine lines deeper. In this regard, our patients do not focus so much on individual wrinkles, but rather on the overall skin structure and the feeling of a lack of freshness and stability.
Here at Myskin-Berlin, we want to provide support with a Sculptra® treatment. This biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid does not simply fill in the short term; it stimulates the body’s own processes, such as new collagen formation. This allows us to gradually improve your skin quality without the result appearing artificial. The foundation is a calmly planned treatment, paired with an anatomical understanding and a clear view of which change is truly sensible.

The application is usually well tolerated; however, the skin will react to the injection. This includes slight swelling, redness, a feeling of pressure, or small bruises, which normally subside after a short time. Immediately after the treatment, we will carefully massage the area so that the collagen stimulator is distributed evenly within the tissue.
For at home, you will receive clear instructions from us regarding aftercare. This should also include regular, gentle massage of the treated areas. This is particularly important with Sculptra® because the preparation is not intended to act locally at a single point, but rather to stimulate a harmonious collagen buildup.
In the process, cells involved in repair and remodeling processes are activated, especially fibroblasts. These fibroblasts play a central role in the formation of collagen—the structural protein that gives the skin firmness, density, and resilience.
That is why the result takes time. Initially, the injection and the fluid may create a short-term effect, but this subsides again. The actual buildup then begins gradually. Over several weeks, the skin structure densifies while firmness and contour can slowly increase.
Not every aesthetic treatment needs to look immediately visible, strong, or clearly changed. Sometimes it is more about giving the skin more structure again, gently strengthening contours, and returning some of the firmness to one’s appearance that was lost over time.
Sculptra® is exactly the right procedure for this, as it triggers the body’s own regeneration processes and gives the tissue time to undergo the positive change. If you wish for a regenerative treatment that focuses not on quick effects but on long-term skin quality, we would be happy to advise you personally at Myskin-Berlin.
